Prop Firm Crypto Payouts Explained

USDT and USDC payouts have replaced bank wires as the default at serious prop firms. Faster, cheaper, and no cross-border rejection. Here's what to know.

Why crypto beats wires for payouts

  • Settlement in minutes, not 3–5 business days.
  • Flat network fee, no correspondent-bank chain deducting $30–$80.
  • Works in every country where you can hold a self-custody wallet.
  • No arbitrary bank rejections on “trading platform” source of funds.

Pick the right network

For USDT, three networks matter: TRC20 (Tron) — fees under $1, fastest, most exchanges support. ERC20 (Ethereum) — highest fees, most compatible with DeFi. BEP20 (BNB) — cheap, but fewer exchanges list it. Default to TRC20 unless you have a specific reason.

What to check before your first payout

  • Firm supports the same network as your wallet — always send a test amount first.
  • KYC is complete and matches your wallet-linked identity.
  • Payout minimum is realistic (usually $50–$100).
  • Fees are firm-covered or transparently listed.
